Hard cases.
I'm not sure if this is the correct part of the forums to ask but..
I just got myself a Jackson King V guitar and am lacking a hardcase and was just wondering where the hell you go to get a hardcase made for it. I live in Wellington (Paraparaumu to be exact) and was just wondering if anyone knows any local places in town to get this done and what the prices are, I've been told about $100 or so.
I just want one of those standard hardcases that are rectangle and are black heh...
Cheers.

one problem he may face is that the king V will be huge!! it's bigger than my Kelly and the Rockcase for that one cost about $150 or so. I have an EVEN bigger one for my V... unfortunately that probably cost more. might be keen to offload that at some point, i may be interested in springing for one of those funky V shaped cases.

Like the others have said, try locally first. I doubt they will be able to help you though. They may have an "import" case for the King V, who knows? Sometimes cases turn up on TradeMe. The King V is bigger than the Rhoads and the factory case I got with my RR is HUMONGOUS but is designed to fit both the Rhoads and King V. That may be your last option, but consider it's already oversized so you're going to spend a buttload to get it into NZ. I also tried a bass case and it didn't work. The last option is to build one...

How wide is it at the tips of the 'V' and how long?
Most bass cases are wide enough for 350mm, which is just wider than a Jazz bass. There may be point Samick, Cort, Dean etc cases that are big enough, but they'll be $200-$400. Still cheaper than a custom made case.
