Anyone here tried the Horizon Devices Precision Drive?
I'm GASing for one, after seeing multiple reviews online. They've opened up orders on their site again so I might pull the trigger. Just looking for opinions/reviews from you awesome dudes
Currently using a Maxon OD808 for my high-gain boosting, but curious to try this for comparison.
Cheers!

It started out as a Nolly sig model named Focus, which is what I have. The new version is called Standout with extended range.

Re: Horizon Devices Precision Drive
I lent one from a friend and really wasn't all that impressed. I only found the first two attack modes ok before it started to sound to thin and bright and the gate didn't feel too great either. From what I've heard the maxon od808 is the go-to standard for a hi gain boost so I'd be reluctant to sell that before you've tried the precision drive. Take all this with a grain of salt though as it's all a matter of opinion.
Also, I think there was someone on the FB groups selling a 2nd hand one and I may know of someone else wanting to sell his. Send us a PM if you want me to look into this for you.

Re: Horizon Devices Precision Drive
Thanks very much for this! I'm not planning on selling my Maxon OD808 as it sounds so amazing, but I'm keen to try out the Precision Drive to see what it's like. I've heard really good reviews, and some bad reviews on it also.chrisbower wrote:I lent one from a friend and really wasn't all that impressed.
