Re: Tele Custom 75
Nothing would give me greater pleasure than setting aside a weekend to go through that from one end to the other sorting / cleaning etc. as best I'm able. Very cool guitar.
Re: Tele Custom 75
Yeah - I do enjoy pulling these things apart and examining/cleaning fiddling etc..it was also broken across the bottom of the control knob cavity-snapped clean off..
I got it off a guy who bought it off his mate for....wait or it $40!!!!! His mate got it from.....THE TIP !!!!
The guy didn't have any cash to restore it so I offered him a nice shiny Blade Tele as a swap and he was happy as...
Apart from that who knows..? .. Keef???

I love it. I can smell it from here!
Why a new pickguard? Put that smelly one back on immediately!

Re: Tele Custom 75

I only did that cos the smelly old one was warped and the neck pickup was so close to the strings that the screws fell out of it to get it low enough to play... it's not going to be a collectors grade so I've madeit functional over original.
It could possibly have been in a fire maybe?

I fixed a warped pickguard by pouring boiling water over it and squashing it between two chopping boards. Might be worth a shot?MisterB wrote:

How can I be sure I'm here?
The pills that I've been taking confuse me...
