I think most of it was down to the caps with most of the signal capacitors needing to be replaced. It’s meant to be have been tested out this arvochur wrote:Lookin good. Any word what the main problem was with the echo?Mini Forklift Ⓥ wrote:I'm done... for now anyhow. Here's what I have ended up with, not pictured is the delay(s).
Hopefully should get my tape echo unit back from being repaired this week, aside from that one I am running an early 90's Maxon AD80 analog delay which sits last in the chain

Managed to squeeze one of my Dad's pedals onto the board, he stuck it in my suitcase before I left the UK earlier this year. Nice touch Dad

Got my old (late 70's) tape echo back from repairs yesterday, most of the signal capacitors needed to be replaced as well as a few op-amp chips. Thanks heaps PaulW

Re: Finalising my pedalboard...
Hmmm wouldn't the vibrations from the cab be hard on the delay?

Quite possibly, did cross my mind. Can’t put it on top of the head as it covers the vents. Might have to have a think on where to relocate itjeremyb wrote:Hmmm wouldn't the vibrations from the cab be hard on the delay?

Fantastic. Bought some new tape to replace the old one, but I actually like it being slightly imperfect as you get those really cool sounding warbles and modulation so I'm going to leave it for a whileAiRdAd wrote:How does the tape delay sound?
Re: Finalising my pedalboard...
I've stuck a big towel underneath the echo unit, that should easily absorb any vibrations from the cab. Not playing at massive volume anyway so can't imagine it would be too badjeremyb wrote:Hmmm wouldn't the vibrations from the cab be hard on the delay?
