Jansen invader
Anyone own one of these? Looking at buying one for my dad as a surprise, he will love the nostalgia, but only worry is the neck looks kinda fat

They’re not good guitars, even from a nostalgic perspective.
Not to ruin your kind intentions for your dad, but you may find the memory was better than the reality.

I agree. Played one and decided to stick with my Fenders.
He hit a chord that rocked the spinet and disappeared into the infinite ...

Can't tell if genuinely thankful or just had dreams crushed.

Re: Jansen invader
I was speaking to a guy today that has got a Jansen Jazzman. He said it's sunburst but some dickhead painted a union jack on the front. So it'd need a bit of work to get it back to looking nice. Not sure what they are like, but I could talk to him about that one for you?

I recall Bender being positive about them. Sadly he no longer posts (often)
When faced with quality, I recognise it every time.

It's either Bender or rickenbackerkid, or whatever he was called back then...Jay wrote:AiRdAd wrote:they're a different thing - they're pretty good aren't they? some members here have tried them - maybe they'll chime inshinenz wrote:
