Gah! My thumbpick is only good for downstrokes... is that normal? Watched a couple youtoobs... and I suspect they only downstroke the bass notes in Travis picking? The plectrum in me rebels against this.

Is there a thumbpick designed for alterate directions? Or should I just man up? πŸ˜†

I have used Dunlop, Planet Waves, Acri pro and many others over the years. Currently running Fred Kelly Bumblebees, you can up pick very easy, just grab like a flatpick.

How can I be sure I'm here?
The pills that I've been taking confuse me...
