I've jumped in and ordered an HSS set of Cloud Nine and Tuis for my hot strat build that's been sitting ready to start for far too long. Better start sanding and finishing the body now I suppose.

I just need some black tuners and some bits of hardware now.

I strongly doubt it will be in playing condition before Nov gearfest because I just don't work that fast and I want a fancy paint job on this one rather than yet more Tru-Oil

The Strat he’s playing is an “Axe Tech” - basswood, Chinese, cost me $90 about 10 years ago. Just goes to show eh.

Stop this madness right now. We all need 100 year old Honduras mahogany and flame maple tops for anything to sound even remotely good.

*starts searching for Axe Tech guitars*

There's a demo on the site by Warren Mendonsa (aka blackstratblues) - he's got a set in his 335. He's on this forum if you want to have a chat with him.

I'm just packing up a set to send to Brett Kingman for a demo so that's maybe a month away (he takes a wee while).
I know you can't get any idea of the feel of them from a demo but that's all I can do.
Cheers

How deep are your soap bar's Glyn ?

Here are the specs for the SD Vintage Neck in my PRS. I tried a Vintage Vibe P90 but it was a little deeper than "standard" and I couldn't set the height correctly.

I'm trying to figure out how to upload a picture. Oh well. The cover depth is 17mm and the pole piece is 21.5mm long. The cover in plan view is 85mm by 34mm.
