Re things to bring ...
Just finished testing this guy. Based on late 30s Gibson with electromagnetic speaker. I'll bolt the amp to the cab as the high voltage goes down to the speaker. Speaker itself is Jensen.
Now to finish as early ac4 project. In addition to these two, I'll being a fender 26 and ampeg j12. Red tube is called a ef37a. The red paint is an earthed conductive metallic shield to keep the noise down. I gave up trying to find a quiet 6j7. This tube evolved into the ef86

Looks cool. I wonder what you'll make of my Carr Mercury. That'll accept different power tubes.

Fast approaching, how many people are defiantly coming?
I asked a guy named Blake from Fan Tail audio if he would be interested in coming, he repairs pedals and is hoping to make it more of a business going forward so could be handy to know someone local for this sort of thing.

Yep, i’m in. Might have a mate Ian coming along too. I have an old MXR eq, with no switch, maybe something Blake could take a look at and see if a switch can be added..i see the new ones have switches…

I'll be there. And would be keen to get advice from Blake (or anyone else) as to why my homemade fuzz pedal hums rather loudly. (Aside from the obvious of it being my 2nd ever pedal and has some rather dodgy vero-board soldering... )Reg18 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 29, 2021 5:19 pm Fast approaching, how many people are defiantly coming?

If the 5E3 hasn't sold you should bring it along!
