Like, I like the fact that they did something not entirely obvious, but I'm not 100% sold on it. The instruments are all gunners but Axel is doing his own thing.

Re: New G'n'R
I think the title of the song is appropriate

Re: New G'n'R
Lol but jokes aside, I've heard that this is a reworked offcut from Chinese Democracy, which makes sense when you listen to it. Also, Axl's voice (which was in fine form a few years ago I thought) seems to have gone a bit off, he's lost the grit somehow.
I've never liked when GNR in any form leaned towards the punkier tendencies anyway, so this song is definitely not for me.

Original song was Silkworms, a track that apparently they felt was too 'future' sounding so held it back from Chinese release.slash-ed wrote: ↑Tue Aug 10, 2021 10:03 am Lol but jokes aside, I've heard that this is a reworked offcut from Chinese Democracy, which makes sense when you listen to it. I believe the vocals are from back then, not re-recorded or anything.
Hardschool will be more interesting, and more easily digestible for rock crowd, and is clearly next on the ranks to be released. DM me if you haven't heard it.
I don't mind Absurd tbh, i like it played loud and enjoy thrashing it in the car when alone. Cannot stand the high pitched 'clean' scream, and also a bit annoyed they plucked something off the shelf from ages ago and just layered Slash and Duff over it. But least they finally managed to release something, so I'm hoping the flood gates open now that this particular monkey is off their back.
