I have no idea what to add as my valvetronix amp has a whole bunch of effects onboard (though most of them are average at best)

get a decent analogue pedal of those onboard effects you find you are using most.

Probably a decent compressor then. The BOSS chorus I have is easily better than the onboard chorus.

In light of all BG's excess (though this is in the GAS forum I guess) heres my >$25 pedalboard:

1 piece of custom wood: $6
6 strips of velcro: $2 each
packet of plastic feet with felt pads: $6

And if it came to a fight, mine would bludgeon yours to pieces with barely a scratch

BG - re your Fender PT100 or PT10. These are about $100 cheaper than the equivalent Boss pedal and so are attractive as an option.

* what is your relative opinion of them?
* are they larger than a boss pedal?
