Marc Bolan had a custom-built, all-aluminium guitar. I once got to see it up close and personal at a Liverpool guitar shop where it was being serviced. Recall it had his name engraved in it. Think the store owner said it belonged to the Littlewoods family who were prominent and proper wealthy from football pools and shopping catalogs.
Would tuning stability be an issue?
