I just never really liked the Marshall sound.
Sacrilege!
Marshall crunch; Fender cleans does it for me.
So, you like Rivera amps then!
Epiphone Riviera P93 & EJ200CE, Hagstrom Viking Bass, Doubleneck bass/guitar.
Rivera Clubster 45, Carvin AG100D, Ashton BSK158.

Never tried one. But owning a Marshall and a Fender must be better, right? More equals better.

Dunno about that, I wouldn't mind having Marshall crunch and Fender clean on one amp.

I haven't tried a Marshall but have owned several Fenders & I find the fenders too bright with 6L6 valves. 6V6's are great but the Rivera uses EL34's which gives them the Marshall crunch & a warmer Fender'ish sound.

@Conway I think I'm going to build a good old-fashioned 18W kit from GDS. I could order a couple?

Surely that's what amp profilers are for?

Thanks Robbie, but I’ve found a SV20 head and it is now on its way to me.

Now I’m thinking about getting a matching cab, the 2x12 vertical one… but I’ll try my 3 cabs first. All have different speakers, so it will be interesting to see how they go.

I'm there already... my Kemper Stage indeed does what he described. Still... ya know... glowing glass, etc...

People wanting Marshall crunch and Fender cleans are just missing the joy that is an AC10.
