That middle position is something I missed a lot in my hiatus from 2V 2T setups. Are those settings the fabled 'woman tone'?

Indeed it is a variant of the woman tone, I prefer it to the standard neck pickup only with tone down Crank the hotcake or KOT and its glorious!

Just got this lovely old girl back from Ramsay.
As far as I can tell, she's a ~1959-1960 456.
Neck was lifting, as is common. A few people told me not to bother fixing. F&#k them - she's beautiful now - plays great and the old wood's spanks and rings like a bell.....
