230v / 240v - Need I be concerned?
Haven't plugged my amps in since receiving them from NZ a couple of weeks ago. Thought crossed my mind today that they might be set for 230v and it's 240v here. Need I be concerned?
Cheers
Cheers

Re: 230v / 240v - Need I be concerned?
The switches on most multi-voltage devices I've had or seen (I'm thinking pedal power supplies) seem to have just two settings: 230/240 and 110/115, so I doubt there'd be much difference?
Disclaimer: Perhaps wait for a better educated opinion.Nothing to see here.

Re: 230v / 240v - Need I be concerned?
Our line voltages in NZ are rarely exactly 230V. I measure them several times a day at work, they're usually between 230-240V.
It's only about 4% difference, I wouldnt be concerned.

its the same with UK 240vac, it fluctuates so I really wouldn't be worried, this is why nz/uk travel adaptors are legal.....
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

If your amp has the option for a 240VAC setting, select it.
When faced with quality, I recognise it every time.

Cheers chaps. Much appreciated.
Mrs and daughter are off to Manchester for a few days to see some pop star chap. Thought it might be a good opportunity to set my gear up.

you'll be fine 10% extra will be within spec. However you may want to check the bias, as that will change slightly.
