I've never understood the point, but I guess its the only time that finishing quickly is a good thing so if you have issues in that regard it might give you an ego boost?!?!??!

In unrelated news, my Artist 5 string is an absolute boat anchor, I weighed it yesterday for the first time and it came in at 5.6Kg... 12.3lbs... ideally I'd like to scrub a couple of kilos off that, I think my only option is to make a new body for it... I could swimming pool route out under the pickguard but its probably not going to make a helluva difference... ergh...
The other thing is... what is out there in the super lightweight 5 string realm, I imagine the Ibanez stuff will be light, I quite like the look of the Sire Marcus Miller stuff too... budget maybe upto $1k?
