Re: What are you gassing for?
Gassing for a hardware drum machine. Considering something like a korg volca drum.
Why? I have no idea. I have no real use for one and doubt I have the patience to make it worthwhile. But they look cool!

Atta Boy!
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

I have an awesome drum machine. He's called Malcolm. He never needs programming and runs on a couple of Canadian Club RTD's.

Got Marshall JVM gas, despite my sensible self-talk telling me a DSL40 combo would suffice at half the price.

Thanks for the kind offer but in reality, I’ve got very little time to actually play at the moment. Out of interest, what do you have?robthemac wrote: ↑Sat Feb 18, 2023 9:23 amWant to borrow something Plexi-ish for a week?Basket Case wrote: ↑Sat Feb 18, 2023 8:58 am Got Marshall JVM gas, despite my sensible self-talk telling me a DSL40 combo would suffice at half the price.

Re: What are you gassing for?
Chur, I'll give it some thought. I'm veering towards an FM machine for maximally weird sounds, and maximum frustration. But I'll let you know if I end up looking for something more practical.

Re: What are you gassing for?
Tempting! Possibly a bit overwhelming, though that's probably true for any FM unit. But this guy's tutorial has me imagining I could at least have some fun with it:hellblazer wrote: ↑Sat Feb 18, 2023 1:23 pm There's an elektron Model:Cycles on TM that could be fun.

Re: What are you gassing for?
The Elektron Model (Samples, Cycles) line are a simplified version of their main line (Digitakt, Digitone).
I find both lines to be fairly intuitive. For Cycles and Digitone, Elektron purposefully set limitations in their FM synth engines so you can find musical sweetspots quicker and easier.
Also Elektron gear holds up their resale value remarkably well.

Re: What are you gassing for?
Probably very very late but recently got the eventide h9 max.
One of the best pedal I purchased- very inspirational and really high quality sounds.
I personality like the effects on H9 more than HX stomp and Gt1000 which I had in the past, but that just my personal experience
