I'd love to see how they remove those frets... basically a throw away neck right?

Chuffed with a nice neat job, almost looks stock and wiring is tidy and should be reliable

The Vester refinishing goes well. Not bad at all for a couple of rattle cans. I've learned the wet sanding stage will make or break the finish.

The Jackson refinish goes well. This is Sherwood Green from Duplicolor. It's a touch up paint for car bodywork but the fan tip makes it really good for spraying guitars. After a week I'll clearcoat it and then wet sand.

Did you strip and primer it or just sand back a bit and spray over the top?NippleWrestler wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2023 11:05 am The Jackson refinish goes well. This is Sherwood Green from Duplicolor. Re: What's on your work bench?
Both and neither. I sanded back the existing finish with 600, then primed that, then sprayed. If the finish was in better shape I wouldn't have needed to prime but alas.jeremyb wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2023 11:29 amDid you strip and primer it or just sand back a bit and spray over the top?NippleWrestler wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2023 11:05 am The Jackson refinish goes well. There's really no point in stripping a finish back to bare wood.

Check out Brad Angove on YouTube. His whole channel is devoted to rattle can finishing guitars.jeremyb wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2023 4:20 pmNice! Re: What's on your work bench?
Finally getting some decent weather!
So I went to upholster the speaker cab but my compressor is dead
So I'll grab some ados tomorrow but at least got a bit of work on these two done.
Frame on the right is going on castors and is for pedal board (top) , Amp head (middle) and speaker cab (bottom) so I can move my gear around easy and then push out of the way to keep things tidy.
