Wow, so very excited for you! I love the idea of a 12 fret but the two I have played did not get along with my right shoulder. I like to play with my picking hand near the bridge. Somehow my elbow just ended up too far up and fatigued my shoulder somewhat after a session. I suspect it's the combination of the bridge and waist positions.dc wrote: ↑Mon Jun 26, 2023 11:12 amYup that’s the model! Treated myself to a set of the best guitar cabinet IRs money can buy.
KW 412 M25-SH
4x12 Celestion M25 Greenbacks. They sound amazing. Lots of different single and multi mic mixes to choose from as well.

Got me curious now, have you compared them to any other greenback IRs?jhyang549 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 30, 2023 5:47 pm Treated myself to a set of the best guitar cabinet IRs money can buy.

I’ve got some York audio Matchless cab IR but overall I’ve preferred others for my greenback tones. I think the one I have is a mix of GB and H though, I’ve got my favourite GB 4x12 IR which has a U87 mic and 421 mix I think but can’t for life of me remember what brand it was.

I have compared these to their Marshall 412 M25 cab pack and I like the KW 412 M25-SH pack more (but not by a lot).Reg18 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 30, 2023 5:54 pm

The guy who puts these together said they made a lot of improvements to their impulse recording equipment and facilities in 2023. Compared to their Marshall 412 M25, he said it was 'night and day' compared to the KW 412 M25-SH. I'm sure there's a bit of embellishing here and there. But the pack sounds great.
Their Matchless cab is definitely not one of my favourites. Do you have V1 or V2?
I prefer Greenback IRs in a 4x12 configuration as opposed to 2x12 (I would rather have V30 2x12 than Greenback 2x12).

My York audio IRs were bought jan 2020 so gonna say it’s likely he’s made some improvements since then. Got me curious enough to give this pack a go I think.jhyang549 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 30, 2023 6:24 pmI have compared these to their Marshall 412 M25 cab pack and I like the KW 412 M25-SH pack more (but not by a lot).Reg18 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 30, 2023 5:54 pm

Ah you probably got their V1 of Matchless, which I think only features 6 different mics.
The KW 412 features 18 different mics so they have definitely made some improvements since 2020.

In keeping with my love for the AliExpress Klon, I am now about to receive the mini version for testing, and a Mosky PreAmp.
I'm thinking I'll do a test against my beloved MI Blues Pro...it also being a "transparent overdrive" , and maybe some other spendy drive pedals.
Since ClubHouse mentioned the Lightspeed Organic Overdrive, I have been lusting after that too. Sigh. I thought I was cured.
