Re: Marshall JTM Studio Series
Here's one from Thomann Music that compares it to the SV20.

I like the old look and the sound, will most probably get one, I'm a sucker for M gear

Yeah same, probably wait until they land here. Can see myself changing the knobs though

I'll put a white dot on the end of each one.
They're the same as the earliest ones used on the originals, pretty mundane I know but a part of that historical look.
Doin' that scrapyard thing.

Or get a 1974. Unless you want clean headroom. Or a master volume. Or EQ.

What is the difference between a JTM and a Plexi? Controls look the same

Re: Marshall JTM Studio Series
Not sure about this one but the originals were tube rectified with kt66? They sag a lot more than a Plexi and have a lot more bass, beautiful cleans through to breakup but fall apart under higher gain settings. Plexi is tighter.blackstratblues wrote: βMon Jul 31, 2023 9:38 pm5881/EL34rickenbackerkid wrote: βMon Jul 31, 2023 9:20 pm What is the difference between a JTM and a Plexi? Controls look the same

I love both!
