Yeah, sorry, couldn't find a "delete" button after I posted that. I got all confoozled and thought this was the "worst debut" thread.bluesbass wrote:Where does it say I don't like it...?Vince wrote:What didn't you like about that? Or is this about the cover?bluesbass wrote:... Blind Faith?

The Mars Volta's Deloused in the Comatorium is pretty much a flawless debut

I have it on vinyl too. Nice listen.Vince wrote:Yeah, Pink Moon is just the right length. Re: Greatest debut album?
Surprised Eminem isn't on that list of top selling debuts, he sold a mint.

Re: Greatest debut album?
The comments re Third Eye Blind (shit that's a good album) and Ryan Adams (of course) are right...and Weezer. Actually, so many awesoem bands nailed it on the first attempt. Then, when the corporate ticket clippers woke up and attached themselves to the bands the creativity waned. What does that tell you?

What happened? Such promise, but nowhere to take it after that I suppose?

Here's a bit of a left-field/not-quite-but-kind-of obscure entry for the 80s - does anyone else have love Tesla's Mechanical Resonance?

I was going to mention Audioslave, but then I don't think 'Supergroups' should be allowed to play this game.Lyle wrote:This! The Scarecrow wrote: Weezer - Blue Album
I'm also a big fan of Audioslave's first album. I know there's a lot of people that aren't big fans, but I always find myself listening to it.
Contraband by Velvet Revolver is a great album, back to back good songs, no filler, but again it was Gunners with Scott Weiland, so it was bound to be at least passable as a first album!
Nothing to see here.

I kinda loved Vivid for a long time, but I've finally hit a point where I'm starting to feel that it's not aging as well.matman wrote:+1 on Weezer blue.
