My First Amp

Post by JstaR »

Ok so some of you may have seen the chassis made up which I posted in the show us your gear thread. Well heres my story on my first amp I built

I bought it from ampmaker.com cant remember the price but it was when the exchange rate was low. Its a 5W amp with a single 12AX7 and an EL84. Has Master, Gain, Trebble, Middle, Bass contols. 16 and 8 ohm speaker jacks. Rather simple design which is why I chose it and it has basicly a walk through on how to build it ;P anyways heres the photos.

p.s I only finished the enclosure ect today

Well I didnt have any pictures of the enclosure being made sadly but it worked pretty jazzy.

Now onto another project :D

Yeah I thought it was culturally hip - being an authentic native bavarian in her indigenous habitat. Plus the jugs appeal to me.

Dont be hating my horrible guitar playing ive only been outa bed like 2 hours

Its definatly a clean amp it hates being pushed to max it just sounds pretty mud when it is lol. Was running it through my warfdales in my AC30 cause its all I had. The pedal I used on the last clip is a Boss DS2.
