I thought those LP humbuckers were pretty aggressive, but then again I want to replace them with a Doug Aldrich set.Danger Mouse wrote: ↑Sat Jan 13, 2024 8:47 pm Does sound rather tasty, would love to hear it with a decent boost/OD pedal in front of it and some more aggressive humbuckers.

I think that amp would do a killer high gain tone if leaned on and pushed hard enough, even though that is not what was intended for it. I'm a metal guy and would love to spend time trying to get there with the right equipment.Zaulkin wrote: ↑Sat Jan 13, 2024 10:20 pmI thought those LP humbuckers were pretty aggressive, but then again I want to replace them with a Doug Aldrich set.Danger Mouse wrote: ↑Sat Jan 13, 2024 8:47 pm Does sound rather tasty, would love to hear it with a decent boost/OD pedal in front of it and some more aggressive humbuckers.

Thanks Mike, I'd love to have a play and you're local so please book me in a slot. I'll see if I can wrangle some recording gear and do a wee demo vid of my own as well (I sold my mic and interface to RobRoyMcCoy, I'll see if he still has it).

Robroy has kindly agreed to help record it with his set up and we should be able to get the Dairy Flat hall to make some decent noise, so will confirm once you have it back.
My demo vids skills are questionable, but I will do my best to do it justice...

OK it's normally just a few minutes on my daughter's little 3/4 scale SG when she goes to bed, which she will patiently wait for me to play for a bit, then take the guitar off me and tell me it's her bedtime and I need to go. But it's still playing!

This is one of the best get kids to bed techniques I've ever heard of. Well done!Danger Mouse wrote: ↑Sun Jan 14, 2024 7:42 pmI play guitar every day!hamo wrote: ↑Sun Jan 14, 2024 7:19 pmYou fool, what have you done? Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

(I have to give much credit to my wife though for working really hard on sleep routines so both kids just go to bed when it's bedtime)
