What do you want to know, what level are you at?
I tend to play mostly shred and metal/hard rock.
I'm not really teaching anymore I don't have the time, but if you're wanting to catch up and maybe get help with certain techniques or something on an 'unregular' interval I would be willing to help for no fee.
Ummm....

I'm not very good, I guess I haven't played seriously for about 20 years so I'm basically a beginner againsopachrga wrote:jeremyb wrote:*bump* Anyone?? surely someone in chur chur wants my money!!jeremyb wrote:Looking for a teacher in chch with a more rock focus, shame Ed has moved to Aucks as I was keen to get some lessons from him

Sounds like we have similar interests, thats a really generous offer dude, my time is limited too (new baby and busy work) and was thinking that maybe regular lessons would give me some structure so I'd have to practice, or do I just need to harden up and make time?

Re: Guitar Teacher Database
Yeah regular lessons might help, but of course you still have to find the motivation anyway.
My offer is more based along the lines of, if you have a song that you are trying to learn or a technique that you are trying to master I'll try help you get through that.
Mastering a new song or technique is often enough to stir up motivation again. I know every time I manage to get my alternate picking or sweeping to the next level of speed I get all motivated again and start going through all the new songs I can now play which require that speed!
Either way.... maybe let me know a night you want to catch up with somethign you have in mind that you want to learn and we can see if I'm really able to help you.

Re: Guitar Teacher Database
I'm looking for a guitar teacher in Auckland who's fairly classic rock/hard rock focused. I need a few lessons to tighten up my playing cos it's ragged as hell at the moment. If anyone can suggest somebody or if any forumites are up for it then that would be much appreciated. Cheers guys.
