...Funnily enough, this is exactly the rig I had when I bought that head. Good to see it out and about. Looks like a great Tronfest.

Re: Tron V Gearfest August 2011
It's a mesa Blue angel, JB.
I'm always stunned when it gets opened it up and has the volume past 12oclock... it really comes to life and is satisfying after months of it being used too quietly (or not at all). The reverb treble-boost was also a pleasant surprise, kudos to UNIQUE for pointing it out!
Hopefully i'll be able to get some kind of attenuator for it in the near future, though i'm presently hamo'd.

I was late again but still had a great time...
Was really impressed with how good Hi-gainer's modded Marshalls sounded, even at low volume (thanks for the demo bro!)- gave me some ideas for my new amp!
Had a good natter to Ryan about some amp build options as well...
Thanks Darcy for another great Tronfest...next time I should have some cool new toys to show off!
Yup, this is mine! Totally stoked about how it's looking so far and can't wait to try out the finished product!!willow13 wrote: adrian with a certain forumites work in progress

Welcome to the forum. 65 Soho eh? Nice!Park01 wrote:Hi all, first post - Thanks for welcoming me into the gearfest (I had the 65 soho). Man there was great gear there, unique's 7w greenstone sounded unreal, and that Splawn sounded awesome. Thanks to Ash for being to play all your guitars - the Heilo was very cool. Sorry I didn't stay and catch up with everyone at the end, had to run. After hearing all those different guitars I now want, I mean need an LP, SG and 335.. and tele.. and lovepedal vibe.. and maestro pedal... Man these gearfests could get costly! Look forward to the next gearfest, hopefully I'll have some new toys:)

Re: Tron V Gearfest August 2011
Thanks to all who traveled far in wide to be there and bringing the coolest collection of music junk. Some good spontaneous jams going on. Seeing some forum people I'd not met before. Surprised to see Owen & Cara cross the great divide to attend. If I'd known I could have brought the Splawn 4x12 for a demo, glad I didn't know - I hate hauling that thing. Getting there is half the fun, I love my stupidly powerful, fuel thirsty wagon. It digs hauling music gear, on the way there I pulled over for a roadside pitstop (too many coffees). What looked like grass on the roadside was actually soft mud, bit of fun slinging mud with all 4 wheels driving to get on the road again.
See ya'all next time.
