Yeah my voice has turned to shit since I stopped smoking, I used to sound like Tom Waits, now I'm more like Justin Beavershinenz wrote:Thats cool as man........... man i wish i cud play slide ...that u singing to?

Re: Second clip of the republic- more muddy
This is starting to make me seriously wonder.
Crossroad's opening sequence had R J playing an acoustic into the corner into a mic... but with THIS track, I'm starting to wonder if they recorded a Dobro and video'ed a wood body...
BG, I don't know what you did, but the vox sounded better in the first clip.

ah dunno, should be pretty similar as same gear, same session just moved the mic around I guess, in between songs.

Re: Second clip of the republic- more muddy
Your voice was fine but the absolute sweet spot on the mic is not quite the same. You captured it differently, like how it is on the very old recordings on the first take. The second clip is awesome too other than that.....BG wrote:ah dunno, should be pretty similar as same gear, same session just moved the mic around I guess, in between songs.
I had a dream last night, that everything I have got replaced with an exact replica.... (Steven Wright)

It's OK Mate. You don't look like him.BG wrote: I used to sound like Tom Waits, now I'm more like Justin Beaver
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.
