Dark was the night, cold was the ground
This is a traditional tune, loved Sam Mitchells version so thats what inspired me. I took Michael Messers/Kiwi's advice and stripped the paint of the bridge on my tricone. Its definitely opened it up more - loving the tone even more... so here it is warts and all, its only a couple of minutes so please listen and comment if you can, I'm hoping I'm getting better everytime I play/record and I'm quite proud of this one. Its a single track, about take 3 or 4, wish I'd saved the first one, isn't that always the case Ta!
So, is that low alcohol or no alcohol at all? mmmm, no alcohol, do you want to try it? Noooooooooo.

Wonder why more "Christian" music is not as good as this.

Thats sweet BG, can't believe how the clarity really increases with a simple thing like removing that paint, definitely sounding great. I was dubious when I first read that on MMs site. Only comment on the playing maybe a little more vibrato on the held notes. Otherwise, my kind of music BIG thumbs up.
I swapped out the tuners on mine for Grover Statites yesterday, much better they feel sturdier and are easier to bring to tune.

Yeah you're right, I need to concentrate on my vibrato. Past week I found myself using my whole arm which was causing a bit of cramp in my bicep, so I'm tring to use just my wrist again. But not enough
That was a great mod, took about 10 mins and a string change, definitely sounds better. Cheers!

Apparenty Ry Cooder took a half hour warmup to be able to play it, but his vibrato was just totally nutsoBG wrote:Yeah you're right, I need to concentrate on my vibrato. What guitar are you playing?

When faced with quality, I recognise it every time.
