Anyone watching this live? Bruce Springsteen is almost taking everything into church-going territory I wonder when Nirvana is on?

I'm hoping that usual scenario doesn't rear its head.BG wrote:god, I bet mccartney sings 'let it be' again, again, again. ffs.

It will, and he'll be fronting Nirvana while singing it

I love the Stones but IMHO their renditions of "You Got Me Rocking" and now "Jumpin' Jack Flash" just don't have the grove. It's all loose, slow and syrupy when it should be rocking and raucous.
EDIT: At this moment, I'd still much rather watch this than just about any other act I can think of right now.

Eddie Vedder joining in on Comfortably Numb highlighted what an average singer Roger Waters is.

Sounds like a solution rather than a problem to me.Vince wrote:Yeah. because at the end of the day they're STILL the rolling fucking stones.SixGunLover wrote:EDIT: At this moment, I'd still much rather watch this than just about any other act I can think of right now.
Apparently Clapton played as a trio with Steve Jordan and Willie Weeks.
Looking forward McCartneyvana. The silly old bugger knows how to rock'n'roll properly. Nailed on they do helter skelter.

Why have a concert for Sandy relief? You just need a ban hammer.

Nirvana... is that it? One song and we are back to MOR McCartney? Oh well, it was cool while it lasted.
