Re: Mimiq Doubler
Yeah I always wondered if you could have a thing which delayed your signal by a random amount between 1 and 10ms to do something like this... sounds like this might be kind of what's going on.

That is awesome.
I think every trio I've been a part of has wanted this.

I like it!
There are still some that think the neck PU is moved to accommodate the extra frets which only proves they cannot detect the difference in length of each.

How would that go with a bunch of other effects in the mix?

Re: Mimiq Doubler
very good question Hamo
it could turn out to be a pedal that needs to be last in the chain but only works when it`s first in the chain.
there are loads of those already imo

Re: Mimiq Doubler
Slight dredge but does anyone here have some first hand experience with this pedal? I'm curious to know how effective it is with just one amp.

Re: Mimiq Doubler
Consensus seems to be not great unless in stereo

Still curious to try one though, GAS monster must be fed/itch must be scratched etc.

Re: Mimiq Doubler
I use one in stereo with two heads. To be honest its pretty underwhelming. Im willing to admit it maybe because I play a 7 string through a 5150 and a triple recto so all the wonders of the pedalmight be slightly lost in all the gain and stuff....

Re: Mimiq Doubler
yes and no .. that will fatten the sound for sure (people have been doing it since the 80's at least) but it won't quite get you where this pedal does by the sound of the video. There is a distinct 2 guitar sound where as if you increase the delay with a on a delay pedal you start getting a more chorus or reverb soundSimpleSi wrote:just use a single delay with 5-10msStratMatt88 wrote:That's a great idea. imo

Re: Mimiq Doubler
Don’t remember posting that, but Fractal do actually have a block called “Enhancer” that does this, and yeah it doesn’t work that great in a band/live setting.
Loving it so far
