My Bass Rig
I've been waiting until I had my rig sorted out before photographing. Had the Fender Rumble 500 delivered yesterday. Sounds fantastic. The guitar is an early 80's Ibanez with a great neck, low action and a slightly vintage oriented pickup. Although it does pack a decent wallop. The rig owes me $500. Yes, the guitar does smell slightly.

Well, only a quick fang tonight but I think it sounds damn good. It’s got way more punch than I was expecting. Super light too. 9/10.bbrunskill wrote:What are those amp like? Cool as... I learnt to play on one of those ibanezes.
One of those rumble 500s will be my go-to if I ever have a need for a bass rig again. right mix of grunty and portable

Re: My Bass Rig
Fwiw I way prefer the early Roadsters with flatwounds and my assumption is it's likely due to where the pick up placement is
The Rumble combo has a heap of positive praise on reliability, weight and simplicity.
Nice one.

Roadster! does it weight a ton?
I like the rumble combos, never tried the 500W versions. the lower wattages with single speakers seemed to fart out at higher volumes.

It’s like having Kim Dotcom hanging from your neck.
I think the body might be mahogany. But yeah, heavy.

Re: My Bass Rig
Those Fender bass amps are grunty aye..? There is a BXR200 at home that will blow the windows out at half power no probs. Hate to think what 5 hundys will do.
