Adding a wobble stick.
Thinking again about putting a proper Duesenberg wobble stick on my hardtail Doozy Starplayer. Have no idea what I'm doing. Any advice, guidance, caution or expertise will be appreciated. I love this guitar and nothing less than perfection will be acceptable.
Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

I think so but the time I briefly tried a deusy term it was pretty killer. Better than the bigsbys I've tried.

Everything I own is hardtail. Never been able to live with wobble until I met Duesenberg.bbrunskill wrote:I think so but the time I briefly tried a deusy term it was pretty killer. Better than the bigsbys I've tried.

It won’t fit on a standard vibramate but duesenberg make their own equivalent.Bg wrote:yeah, I mean would it fit on a vibramate....

Which fits:

The duesenberg Les Trem would also be a good option.

Yep, that's right. I have an email I'll forward from the folks at Doozy: I asked them the same question. Super easy conversion, no drilling required.

Oh, and you might want to think about getting their rocking bridge as well, though it is not really necessary if you are just going to wobble a bit (!)

Hmmm, without a 'tail' anchor, I find it difficult to conceptualise how that 'version' of a vibramate would be stable.bender wrote:It won’t fit on a standard vibramate but duesenberg make their own equivalent.Bg wrote:yeah, I mean would it fit on a vibramate....

No idea, but this is the one that's fitted to most Starplayers.tubeswell wrote:Hmmm, without a 'tail' anchor, I find it difficult to conceptualise how that 'version' of a vibramate would be stable.bender wrote:It won’t fit on a standard vibramate but duesenberg make their own equivalent.Bg wrote:yeah, I mean would it fit on a vibramate....

Re: Adding a wobble stick.
yep thats the bigsby with needle bearings instead of ball bearings I'd go with that. And the no screw plate, else you'll have half a hole on show if its like the standard bigsby mounting

Re: Adding a wobble stick.
It’s solid and bolted to the body via the stop tail studs. The Bigsby then has all the same number of screws as a standard B5.tubeswell wrote:Hmmm, without a 'tail' anchor, I find it difficult to conceptualise how that 'version' of a vibramate would be stable.bender wrote:It won’t fit on a standard vibramate but duesenberg make their own equivalent.Bg wrote:yeah, I mean would it fit on a vibramate....

Re: Adding a wobble stick.
You could get one of those if you don’t mind the tailpipes studs being exposed. They don’t do a vibramate type adapter for those.Slowy wrote:No idea, but this is the one that's fitted to most Starplayers.tubeswell wrote:Hmmm, without a 'tail' anchor, I find it difficult to conceptualise how that 'version' of a vibramate would be stable.bender wrote:
