They’re not really innovative though, single and double cut guitars have been done to death, companies like Strandberg are innovators.
Absolutely correct albeit innovations I couldn't give a crap about.

Tried it. Doesn't do it for me. Everything goes thin and nasal.

To be fair, I usually have them going into non-MV DR or Plexi amps, set at very low volumes. Not usually a TS happy place.

I didn't vibe with the Strymon Flint. I didn't like the reverb sounds at all. I also find Jazz 3 picks a bit cunty to work with. Just a bit too small.

Play them instead?

I'm glad its not just me, I find them too thick also, I've been finding I've been going thinner and thinner with my picks and I find it way easier to play because of it... strange!

Anything less than 0.8mm just loses the attack though. Fine if you're jangling away with Why Georgia (and I know you are), but anything else is just wrong.

That's almost exactly the happy medium for me. Around 0.8 mm ultex triangles is the most versatile for my use cases.

I'm just responding to people so far. Still can't list my own answers to the topic in question yet!
