The Troggs were well before my time, but I loved their catchy pop songs. Their singer passed away on Monday: http://www.dnaindia.com/world/report_wi ... uk_1796395
Anyone else like their old tunes? Their guitarist has a cool tone with his Gretsch Country Gent and Vox AC30.

Yarp. Probably one of the most covered songs of all time. Saw them in Dunedin in the 80's. Very loud.Edward wrote:Did they sing "Wild Thing" ? One of the coolest songs of all time

Yeah, and I think they did "With a Girl Like You" as well. There's also a recording of them having a good argument in a recording studio,Edward wrote:Did they sing "Wild Thing" ? One of the coolest songs of all time

Waaaay back, we'd often credit The Troggs with our original songs, since it was uncool to write your own stuff back then. Covers (they weren't called that then) were all people wanted to hear. Quinceqontly, The Troggs 'wrote' a shitload of crap songs they'd never heard of.
Sorry, Reg.
Sorry, Reg.
He hit a chord that rocked the spinet and disappeared into the infinite ...

Their accents and the constant use of the word "fuck" remind me of Derek & Clive. Some Bozo wrote:The infamous arguing tape.

I've got no idea what "you big pranny! " means but I'm definitely adding it to my insult vocabulary.
