Recommend me a eq plugin
I need a eq plugin. I have upgraded to 64 bit and have lost my waves plugins that I bought 8 years ago. I was a fan of the waves vq3 and vq4. I know I could get a bridge but I might need a change. What do you guys recommend?

Logic or Tools?
This won't be the cool response, but for me I tend to use the stock EQ. Logic 7 band to be precise. Works great and although I can play with other emulated EQ's I don't really hear a difference.

Depends what money (or illegal cracks) you have...... I use the Waves Renaissance Channel quite a bit as it also has compression, a gate and a few other things. If you want to spend more though some of the SSL and API plugins are great. I bought the CLA2a Comp last week. Sounds awesome on vocals. Oh, to own a real one......

Nice Alan, but already got a couple of outboard eq's. None with that many knobs though!

Check out the slate digital VMR. SSL EQ, Neve 1073 EQ, two killer compressors and exciter/saturation all in one package. Also of note- anything by Softube.

5th one is a harmonic exciter/saturator. There's a trim/phase module too, but that's not very exciting.

Also- the harmonic exciter is free. You download the whole rack as a demo and that one keeps working after the others have expired.
The SSL EQ is mucho magic mojo.
