Entwistle Pickups. Any reviews?
Hi guys, just checking to see if any peeps have used these pups? I seeJansen/simon have them in stock.
Interested in the Darkstar and nemesis. Crazy cheap pups but from what I've seen so far, they punch well above their price tag.
Any news on these?

Would put money on them being made in the same factory as GFS ones

They make all sorts of great pickups! I have a pair of their mean 90's, humbucker sized p90s, they rule!dayl wrote:How were/are the gfs? Didn't they make a nice straty set?

If you're at $60 per humbucker, you don't have to stretch too much further for something like a second hand seymour duncan or a dimarzio. They can be had for $60-$80. There's even a matched set of Suhr and gibson ones on trademe for $170. I'd try and spend the extra $10-$50 and get a really good set.

Not for djenting, but I often run them in the middle switch position with both engaged and they're like a big humbucker, very nice sound!dayl wrote:Nice selection there. How do p90s handle high gain? Fuzz is awesome, but do they djent?

Re: Entwistle Pickups. Any reviews?
I have a XS 62N single coil and it is awesome. Very similar to a Duncan quarter pound but a little more "glassy"...cost me $25 I think it was. I need to try a humbucker next. The one I have looked at is $38 so thats hard to beat if its as good as the single

Ok I’m in for reviews if someone goes for the “hot paf” whatever it is they do.

Yeah I've been searching second hand market a lil and it's upwards of 80 atm and no high gain to be seen. That's pushing the budget a pinch for this budget build. I need overwound hotness in my life. Have seen music planets steals. Still a few to be had. Nit sure about the flavors though.
