Beyond a critical point within a finite space, freedom diminishes as numbers increase. This is as true of humans as it is of gas molecules in a sealed flask. The human question is not how many can possibly survive within the system, but what kind of existence is possible for those who so survive.

Pleasure to meet you too, and wait till you see yourself and Blackstratblues rocking it out on the Optimus Prime and the Jansen 4/12 Special copy. There is some good playing chemistry going on between the two of you in that one.wavesofffear wrote: ↑Sun Aug 14, 2022 9:54 pm Thanks for documenting it all Jay! Really captured the giddy delight of a cranked plexi
Thanks to blackstratblues for putting his speakers on the line (and having excellent taste), and to Rob for putting this whole thing together!
Apologies to the sophisticated jazzbos in the front room for the hijack...
It was a real pleasure to meet everyone and their gear. I'll be back... just gotta accumulate some more gear!

Done, and thanks again for organising Robbie, it was a blast.
It appears you survived the journey home relatively unscathed

I turned up late, cleared out the jamming room, then spent some time challenging Rob's drumming with some riffs I made up on the spot and have since forgotten.
Great fun!

Henry and me moved the Marshalls to the other room because we wanted to turn them up and didn’t want to disrupt the jamsDanger Mouse wrote: ↑Mon Aug 15, 2022 8:28 am I turned up late, cleared out the jamming room, then spent some time challenging Rob's drumming with some riffs I made up on the spot and have since forgotten.

Jay, who was playing your jansen when i was just packing up to leave ? Henry ?
I didnt get a chance to comment but I thought it sounded great, both the amp and the playing.
That gain stage and MV youve got in there gets a nice creamy overdrive for sure.

Yeah I know, but I did chuckle the fact I started playing a non-jam riff, Rob and Jimi joined in, then I turned around to see everyone else had left, taking their gear with themblackstratblues wrote: ↑Mon Aug 15, 2022 8:32 amHenry and me moved the Marshalls to the other room because we wanted to turn them up and didn’t want to disrupt the jamsDanger Mouse wrote: ↑Mon Aug 15, 2022 8:28 am I turned up late, cleared out the jamming room, then spent some time challenging Rob's drumming with some riffs I made up on the spot and have since forgotten.

No stress, the idea of different rooms was to allow people to do their own things!Danger Mouse wrote: ↑Mon Aug 15, 2022 10:52 amYeah I know, but I did chuckle the fact I started playing a non-jam riff, Rob and Jimi joined in, then I turned around to see everyone else had left, taking their gear with themblackstratblues wrote: ↑Mon Aug 15, 2022 8:32 amHenry and me moved the Marshalls to the other room because we wanted to turn them up and didn’t want to disrupt the jamsDanger Mouse wrote: ↑Mon Aug 15, 2022 8:28 am I turned up late, cleared out the jamming room, then spent some time challenging Rob's drumming with some riffs I made up on the spot and have since forgotten.

Was that a Tremolux? I would love to try that next time.
