Re: Bass effects!
Day off , rubbish weather
Jazz Bass SS rounds , plectrum and chorus morning
Going to spend some quality time on this
Never been a fan of Tech21 but their Bass Boost Chorus pedal is the go . My favourite chorus pedal although the old BrownnBoss was good at a couple of things

Re: Bass effects!
How does the diamond mini compare to the original? Is it still 18volt?

Re: Bass effects!
Well I don’t know why I bought it , completely unnecessary
I love the BCP-1
So now I have 2 Diamond Bass Compressor Pedals because I cannot bring myself to sell either
A hopeless case
“Advantages “ of the SGFX DIAMOND BCP/EQ
Size factor
Can be run at 9V without headroom peaks
Third HZ point for tilt is clever
Top jacks

Re: Bass effects!
I haven’t run it at 18v I didn’t bother buying a voltage doubler
The old BCP I have a special cable for powering up. It’s a great Compressor/ Tone Enhancement. I can’t fit it on the board
See I bought some filters thinking I’ll never need three ....but all three filters I like and can’t bring myself to sell.
I’ll probably end up buying another board, power box etc.
Tragic case

Re: Bass effects!
I am unrepentant.
Although if you’re looking for a home for that Bass Comp I’d be more than happy to oblige

Re: Bass effects!
Yeah they are pretty good
Peak limiting
Tone Enhancement
A bit off Squish if required (although I think VCA type is better at that)
Will always make a Passive flatwound strung bass sound better. But useful with a lot of different instruments.

Re: Bass effects!
Very old Chromes on the Precision
The Dreadbox is being used as VCA type compression just a hair of squish.
TheOC-2 is a quirk unit, but when it’s right it’s right
Prince, Stevie Wonder, Nikka Costa, Mary Jane Girls things

Re: Bass effects!
Big fan of DemonFX, I have their A7K preamp which sounds killer to me...
